About 'total health home care'|Where Do We Draw the Line on Paying for Home Health Care








The               Health               Care               Reform               Bill               has               been               signed               into               law,               and               American               taxpayers               will               inevitably               pay               the               nearly               $1               trillion               dollar               tab.

The               health               care               reform               will               provide               insurance               coverage               to               32               million               Americans               who               are               currently               uninsured.

After               the               huge               $1               trillion               banking               bailout               in               2008/2009,               Americans               now               expect               the               government               to               provide               reasonable               solutions               for               paying               off               these               enormous               budget               deficits.

In               order               to               pay               the               bill,               the               government               plans               to               raise               taxes               on               wealthy               people,               slap               fees               on               the               health               care               industry,               and               cut               Medicare               expenditures.

The               government               continues               to               favor               Democratic               measures,               and               the               wealthy               continue               to               be               taxed               heavily.

Rich               Baby               Boomers               will               pay               about               20%               of               the               total               cost               of               the               package               through               higher               taxes               on               Medicare               and               a               new               tax               on               sources               of               passive               income.

This               is               yet               another               true               example               of               taking               money               from               the               wealthy               and               giving               it               to               the               poor               people.
               New               Fees               for               the               Health               Care               Industry
               The               health               care               industry               will               be               slapped               with               new               fees               in               the               coming               years.

Drug               manufacturers               and               health               insurers               will               see               new               fees               while               medical               device               manufacturers               will               have               to               pay               a               2.9%               excise               tax               on               goods               sold.

It               will               still               only               account               for               10%               of               the               total               cost               of               the               nearly               $1               trillion               health               care               package.

Considering               how               much               the               industry               stands               to               gain               from               obtaining               32               million               new               customers,               this               seems               incredibly               advantageous               to               the               industry               as               a               whole.

The               big               question               is               how               much               of               these               fees               will               be               passed               on               to               American               consumers?
               Government               to               Cut               Medicare               Expenditures
               The               third               way               the               government               plans               to               pay               for               the               bulk               of               the               Health               Care               Reform               Bill               is               by               cutting               Medicare               expenditures.

Medicare               recipients               will               be               forced               to               pay               more               for               their               coverage               and               many               Baby               Boomers               are               still               unsure               how               they               will               have               enough               money               to               retire.

To               make               matters               worse,               the               government               will               make               a               $40               billion               cut               to               home               health               care               expenditures               over               the               next               10               years.

Rich               Baby               Boomers               are               going               to               be               hit               twofold               through               higher               taxes               and               Medicare               cuts,               but               at               least               they               shouldn't               have               to               worry               about               having               enough               money               to               retire.
               Who               Will               Benefit               from               Health               Care               Reform?
               Upon               closer               examination,               the               health               care               industry               and               uninsured               people               stand               to               benefit               greatly,               while               American               taxpayers               will               be               stuck               paying               for               those               who               cannot               afford               medical               coverage.

Rich               American               taxpayers               will               be               taxed               outright,               the               health               care               industry               will               likely               pass               on               their               new               fees               through               higher               prices               to               consumers,               and               those               people               seeking               Medicare               coverage               will               inevitably               pay               more               for               their               coverage.

Who               will               pay               for               the               $940               billion               Health               Care               Reform               Bill?

The               simple               and               inescapable               answer               is               the               American               working               class.
